Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent to the third-party provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies any results. We do not store or log the search terms you submit through that tool.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, we retain the message to respond. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, our servers may receive technical details about the visit, including:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies, small files stored on a device, to understand site use such as page traffic and navigation patterns. Analytics providers aggregate that traffic information. Browser controls can block cookies, although some site functions may respond differently.
What We Do With This Data
Technical and voluntarily sent information may be used for the following operating purposes:
- Operating, securing, and improving the site
- Routing a submitted search to the relevant partner service
- Understanding aggregate use of site pages
- Diagnosing technical problems
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
This site does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of Jefferson County court dockets or personal case records. It publishes general routing information for the Jefferson County Circuit Clerk, other local court record keepers, and PAMEC for participating MEC courts. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party records.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search boxes on this site are operated by outside companies. Information submitted to one is governed by that provider's privacy policy, retention practices, and sharing rules, not this policy. Review the provider's policy before submitting a search.
Links to Other Websites
The site links to clerk pages, court portals, PAMEC information, and other resources. Following one takes you to a different site whose privacy policy governs that visit. Review it before providing personal information.
Some advertising partners may track activity across websites to display targeted ads. That activity is on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Information may be disclosed to:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
We use standard security practices to protect collected information. No internet-connected system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If you believe a minor supplied information to us, notify us so it can be removed.
Your Data Rights
For court-record access, Mississippi uses the Mississippi Public Records Act of 1983, Miss. Code Ann. ยงยง 25-61-1 et seq. The Mississippi Legislature's official code-access entry point provides current legislative information. The MEC privacy policy identifies the judiciary as a separate branch and explains that court records may instead be governed by court-specific law or rules. The Act is not this private site's visitor-data policy. At a minimum, you can:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this privacy policy. When we do, the revised version will appear on this page with a new effective date.
Effective date: August 28, 2026
